Funnel auger for drain cleaning cable with 1/2" WW thread

The funnel auger, also called a mud drill, is a drain cable tool for removing drain blockages caused by leaves, roots, mud, sand and slush. Foreign bodies such as textiles, rags and wet wipes can also be wrapped and pulled out of the pipe.

The funnel auger is available with diameters of 30mm, 40mm and 50mm. The 30mm version is usually used with the 10mm drain cleaning cable, the 40mm version with the 12mm drain cleaning cable and the 50mm version with the 15mm drain cable. As the heads all have the 1/2" WW thread, they can be interchanged. To make the spiral easier to curve, the 30mm funnel auger should be used for pipes from 70mm, the 40mm or 50mm funnel auger for pipes from 100mm.

To release and change the tool from the drain cable, it is best to clamp the drain cable in a vice. The tool can then be unscrewed counterclockwise using an Allen key. The new tool must be screwed tightly clockwise accordingly.
